Best Buy is where I usually buy my DVD-Rs because they almost always have a brand on special. You could get 20 DVDRs for $9.99.
If you're looking at Best Buy, see if any of the companies have a rebate offer. Some of the DVD-R packs also come with promotions for free music or videos.
Best Dvd R Media Reviews
There are a few places where you can get the best DVD-R media reviews. These are typically the home audio and video magazines. In addtion, you can try Amazon or Walmart and view the customer reviews of the products. If there's something wrong with a product, the customers are usually the first to let you know.
Best Dvd R Blanks
Personally, I buy blank DVDs in packs of 50. These usually last me a year or so and are such a good alternative to CDs for temporary data storage and backup. You could drop all of your important files on one DVDR. They're so cheap that you could do this every week for a year and only pay a few dollars for transportable backups.
Best Quality Blank Dvd R
If price isn't an option, and you want the most durable DVD-Rs that also have the highest compatibility across devices, look for the Sony brand. Their manufacturing technology has always proved to be superior to the other brands in my opinion. I am a lifelong Sony CD and blank DVD fan because they make the best.
