Best Chainsaw Manufacturers
There are only a handful of chainsaw manufacturers around the world as the demand for this device comes mainly from the forestry or industrial sectors. Chains saws are also used as entry or rescue-aid devices by firemen. The world's largest manufacturers would be Husqvarna AB (a Swedish company which used to be a subsidiary of Electrolux) and Stihl (a privately owned chainsaw company from Germany). Stihl chainsaws are considered by some as the best selling brand .
Chain Saw Best
Dolmar is one of the earliest companies to manufacture gasoline-powered chainsaws. This formerly German company is now a subsidiary of Makita, a Japanese power-tool manufacturer. McCulloch is an American manufacturer of chainsaws which was purchased by a Taiwanese company (Jenn Feng Industrial). Poulan is another previously American chainsaw-manufacturing company which was purchased by Electrolux in the 1970s.
Best Chain Saw
Husqvarna manufacturers chainsaws for its own label. It also manufactures chainsaws for Sears under the Craftsman equipment line. Poulan, just like Husqvarna, used to be a product division under Electrolux. Poulan is now a subsidiary of Husqvarna. It would not be surprising that Craftsman, Husqvarna and Poulan chainsaws sold in the U.S. and McCulloch chainsaws sold in Europe would have similar features and designs as these are all essentially manufactured by the same mother company, Husqvarna.
Top Rated Chainsaws
Stihl, Husqvarna, and Dolmar are probably the best chainsaw brands in the world. Stihl is a German company, Husqvarna is Swedish, and Dolmar is Japanese (previously German). Husqvarna also manufactures the McCulloch brand in Europe and Poulan in the U.S., in addition to the Craftsman chainsaws that are sold by Sears (in the U.S.). These brands are all widely popular among professional loggers, quarry workers, and carvers.
